Precision Agriculture
The PA is based on knowledge of the spatial variability of production factors. This requires the use of geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS) and remote sensing, plus appropriate sampling design.
ICA offers all the technological support for the mapping of fertility, plant vigor, diseases, pests and weeds, which allow the prescription of a variable rate of agrochemicals. Also provides GIS based solutions to store historical data of production units, and make management decisions having more information.
ICA has dabbled in this activity as technological support to main companies in the area and public policies of the national government.
