The rapid incorporation of techniques for digital processing of satellite imagery, aerial photographs, together with the goal of making thematic or topographic surveys, has driven the development of this activity at ICA, becoming it one of the engines of several high-scale projects.
Connected with the country's forestry activities, forestry surveys for inventory purposes, cartography and/or production management have been carried out using both multiband satellite imagery and aerial color photographs.
Aerial photographs, in many cases digitally processed, have been used in the field of topography, updating census mapping, basic mapping for GIS, laying of water and sanitation networks, etc. It has refined a technique of automatic change detection to facilitate tasks of fiscal control in the cadastral, municipal or insurance field.
We have last generation processing software, potentiated with full integration of remote sensing with geographic information systems, which increases the capacity for analysis and enables rapid publication of results on the Internet.
